Workplace Ergonomics Evaluation & Solutions
Poor workplace ergonomics is often overlooked as the cause for costly workplace injuries and loss of productivity. Employers are required to provide a safe working environment for employees. Injuries due to poor ergonomics can be cause for OSHA violations and penalties and/or Workers’ Compensation claims.
Prevention is Key
Common workplace injuries include musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) such as sprains, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and hernias due to bending, reaching, crawling, twisting, climbing, and repetitive motion. Other kinds of preventable injuries such as falls, burns, and eye injuries can be caused by a variety of hazardous conditions, including duration, frequency or intensity of exposure to certain materials or noise.
GM Consulting Services is trained and certified to conduct workplace ergonomic assessments. We can help to identify areas of susceptibility and risk. Once our evaluation is complete, we can recommend cost-effective, high-impact solutions for preventing workplace injuries at your company or institution.
